167. The place of stay and the place to be handed over to.

Verse (6:98) of the Quran refers to ‘The place of stay’ as the earth and the ‘place to hand over’ as the grave is easily understood.

But the sentence ‘Place to hand over’ used in the Quran discloses a much wider truth.

Man is born on this earth as a tiny being. And then he grows to a much bigger person in shape and size by taking in nutrients from plants and animals on this earth. And then he passes out of this world..

Man grows bigger by his intake of nutrients in grains and pulses and others from the earth. Thus he is reducing the burden of the earth.

So, when a person weighing 50 kilos lived , he has taken the 50 kilos burden off the earth, and he owes the 50 kilos of matter to the place where he picked it up from.

The message here is, man becomes a belonging of the earth, where he needs to be returned to or handed over to.Man does not directly consume the soil of the earth, but in turn consumes the products grown on the soil, transforming the same into his body. Allah has aptly mentioned in the Quran where man has to be handed back over to.
