99. Mention of poverty being cast upon the Jews (Children of Israel)

These verses of the Quran (2:61, 3:112, 5:14, 5:64, 7:167) talk of competency or about the ignominy/disgrace faced by the Jews.

Verse 3:112, talks about poverty cast on them.

Some may compare this verse with the present-day conditions of the Jews who are extremely wealthy. The answer to this lies in the verse itself.

When they enter into a covenant with others, they do not face a dire situation.

Until they were annihilated by Hitler they were humiliated by Muslims, Christians, and later by the Nazis.

Their ideology states Prophet Jesus’s birth as immoral (i.e.) Jesus was born in the wrong way. But they have a covenant with Britain which accepts Prophet Jesus as the ‘son of God’ and then with America that sustains them from being pushed into penury.

Hence the declaration in the Quran is not believed.

Verses 5:14, 5:64 of the Quran state that enmity has already been forever created between the Christians and Jews till the doomsday. There may be doubts raised by some regarding this.

Raising a question mark over the bonhomie that is prevalent between the Jews and Christians at present.

Though in this verse it is being said there will be enmity between them till the judgement day, verse 3:112 clearly says they will escape the ignominy by entering into covenants with others. Hence it cannot be concluded, the existence of bonhomie between the Jews and Christians is against the proclamation of the Quran.
