258. The one more ‘Wahee’ other than Quran.

In verse (66:3) of the Quran, we find Prophet Muhammad mentioning a certain incident by saying ‘ Allah has revealed me this’.

Please refer to the other explanation point 272 regarding this.

Allah reveals a conversation that took place between Prophet Muhammad and his wife.

Prophet Muhammad discloses a secret information to his wife, but she leaks out the message to another person without maintaining secrecy. Prophet Muhammad on learning about this, questions his wife. But the wife asks him a question in return ‘as to who informed him’ . The reply that the prophet gave is what the verse consists of.

The All-Knower, Who very well knows everything is the One.

The message this verse conveys directly is “ Your wife without maintaining the secrecy entrusted to her has leaked out information.

Through this incident we find an important ideological message delivered in refutation to those who say the Quran is the only divine message from God and no other kind of message is ever delivered.

If to go by the argument that the Quran is the only form of divine revelation, this incident would have been placed directly in it. THere is not a single verse that says ‘your wife has done this kind of an act’.

This verse could only be true if it had been delivered in some other form other than wahee.

This is also evidence to prove indeed there are other ways to divine message other than wahee.

We need to take note of something different from this verse. It does not contain any religious dictat or any other advice delivered to humans. It is merely a conversation between a husband and a wife. Neither is the matter of discussion a religious one because there is no secrecy in the matters of Islam.

Why should Allah register something in the Quran that is of no use to the Muslim community or others.?Allah would never do anything useless.

Allah knows very well that a group claiming there is no other form of divine message would give rise to at a later stage. This verse appears to have been placed in the Quran to assert that other forms of divine message will be delivered.
